Kitulgala is the best place for water sports in Sri Lanka. On the banks of the Kelani River, it was once the filming location of David Lean's 1957 Oscar-winning epic "The Bridge on the River Kwai".
The main attraction is white-water rafting down the Kelani. Other favourites include the confidence jump, stream sliding, jungle trekking, bird watching and cave exploration — an incredible outdoor day for a lifetime.
